Benjamin Orr was the co-founder, co-lead singer, and bassist for the new wave rock band, The Cars, and he was the lead singer on hits such as “Just What I Needed,” “Let’s Go,” “Moving In Stereo,” and the iconic “Drive," just to name a few. 

Benjamin Orr died of pancreatic cancer on October 3, 2000, less than six months after his diagnosis. It is in tribute to him, and in honor of his 76 th birthday on September 8, 2023, that we are raising awareness and funds for PanCan.org.
